With its existing provider no longer meeting operational needs, FMT Logistics needed fleet technology that provided access to camera footage in minutes rather than days and a clearer view of fleet activity. The Project:
As a transport and logistics provider operating a fleet of commercial vehicles across the UK, including vehicles travelling in and around London, the business required safe, compliant and efficient fleet operations.
However, its existing telematics and camera system was making incident management unnecessarily slow. Footage requests often took several days to fulfil, limiting the team's ability to investigate and respond quickly when issues occurred. Limited insight into driver performance and vehicle activity also made it more difficult to identify inefficiencies across the fleet and reduce avoidable operating costs.
FMT needed a more responsive solution that would give the team immediate access to critical footage while improving visibility of driver behaviour and vehicle activity to reduce the risk of costly incidents. It also needed to ensure Direct Vision Standard (DVS) 2024 compliance.
Importantly, the business wanted to achieve these improvements without replacing the majority of its existing camera hardware or disrupting day-to-day operations.
